This painting of my granddaughter 

blowing bubbles was inspired one Sunday while she and I were sitting on the porch enjoying a beautiful morning. The 

slow  pace of that  morning reminded me of the summers of my youth spent  in rural Bootie Louisiana with distant 

cousins. Blowing  bubbles represent a care free innocent time in ones life.]]></description>

re-election ended the progress made during reconstruction after the civil war.  With fair representation  in  congress 

and equality on the horizon, they closed their eyes for the a moment as their descendents watched as peace and

where we came from and who we are.   Some of us call her Maw-maw, Mamee, or Big Momma, whatever her name, 

her advise to us, was always relevant, timely and for your own good. As a people we must continue to respect and 

trust our tribal elders advise, and to teach that respect and trust to our children and their children.]]></description>

The Sudanese� ethnic cleansing has left thousands dead , homeless, and starving. Have we not learned from history or has it been lessons lost 

because of who the victims are, their relationship with the rest of the world as it relates to economic power and their 

available natural resources?   Is being in-humane to our fellow man no longer enough 
to stir our outrage and offend 

our sense of injustice?

As a native of New Orleans, I felt deeply the horrors of Katrina.  Several family members live were devastated.  Due to the willful Neglect, 

and the painfully in competent response of elected Officials, thousands of citizens lost life, property �.and days later
